Hi I'm Sandra

I'm a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a widow and a wife again. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy learning and I love to read. I've always loved baking, decorating, gardening, family history, walking, love stories, true life stories and children. I love my life. I've raised 3 children and now enjoy seeing my fourteen grandchildren live their full and rich lives. It makes mine happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up on an apple orchard in Washington State. My parents shared two different religions and decided that rather than teach their 4 daughters a religion their daughters would wait until they were old enough to choose for themselves what they wanted to believe. Consequently, I had that hole and longing in my soul for what life was about until my late 20's. My now deceased husband took a job for the Western Pacific Railroad in Salt Lake City and we found ourselves living among "the MORMONS"! He drank his beer as he mowed the lawn and they still loved us! They had us into their homes and taught us about "family home evening". An evening on Monday nights where your children are taught values and gospel principles and share the love of their family. Before long we said we would like to take the discussions which ultimately led to our baptisms. Our lives were enriched in our understanding of a Father in Heaven who sent us to Earth to grow from our choices between good and evil. Our knowledge of a Savior that chose to die for our sins if we made incorrect choices here on Earth lifted the burdens of sin. My fear of death from early childhood was relieved by the knowledge of where I and my loved ones were going after our time here on Earth. My life has been so blessed with the love and testimonies of the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have had a sacred witness from the Holy Ghost that I have found Jesus Christ's church here on the Earth today. I prayed and asked and he answered and he will answer you as well.

How I live my faith

Day by day. I have had many opportunities to share what I know is true. The greatest blessing has been God helping me through my trials and those of the ones I love so dearly. I work in a Family History Center each week. We have tons of people doing family history that are not members of the church. I also teach Primary for a class of 7 and 8 year olds every Sunday.
