Hi I'm Andrew

I am a pig farmer, I like Spelunking, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a rural farming community and am currently in the big city and trying to adapt. I love college and am studying to be an engineer. Growing up on the farm taught me a lot of life long traits that have helped me learn and grow. I love life and always look for the good in people. There was a time in my life where I did not know if anyone cared about me. I felt like I was lost in a world of people, I would try and do my best to help them but no matter how much I did for them it was never enough. in the deepest and darkest time of my life my family and my friends reached out to me and changed my look at life. I realized that i had a family who loved me and friends who cared and were there for me! I live my life everyday trying to help people realize the blessings that the lord has given them. My parents have helped me so much in teaching and showing me how to work hard and give it all that I got. Live life, have fun, find joy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church my whole life but there was a time where I had to come to know for myself. In my teenage years I was thinking a lot about what the church was and what it stood for. I took a challenge, which was given to us, to go through the Book of Mormon before the end of the year. At the end of December I finished the book and knelt down and pray to know if it was true. After my prayer I felt good, but no big AH HAH. Slowly I came to the knowledge that I did not need a great big AH HAH moment because I already knew that I was true. Later on my family took a trip to Nauvoo Illinois and we watched a pageant on the early saints of the church and what they went through. At the end of the pageant the stage goes dark and the lights of the Nauvoo Temple in the back ground turn on. As I sat there I knew without a doubt that the work that Joseph Smith did was of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God and we can draw near to God when we read it. And the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly the Lords kingdom on the earth preparing us for the day when we will be with God again.

How I live my faith

I find joy in living my faith. I feel growing up in the church has prepared me for my life to come. There has been many times in my life were I have had the opportunity to serve my fellow men. It makes me feel like I have something to contribute to the world. Some people see the standerds that the church has as rules we have to follow. I love to see them as ways to stay free. I find living the standerds of the church opens the world to me allowing me to be whoever I want to be with no restrictions. I have a great opportunity now to help serve my fellow men. I have dedicated my life for two years to serving the lord and going out every day to find and serve those people who are searching for the truth. I know that the gospel has brought me joy beyond anything that the world could give and I want to share it with as many people as I can! I find joy in serving the lord.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Andrew
When the Missionaries come to your home they will bring a message of truth and light. They have been called and giving authority to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and show that his Church is once again on the Earth, preparing the children of God to return to live with him. Show more Show less
