Hi I'm Paula

I am a wife and a mother of 6 and I am proud to say that I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 4 beautiful girls (one is married in) and 4 very handsome boys who are not all children any more : ) I currently have one beautiful grandson. I love, love , love to make people happy with yummy food. I love to travel even though I get nasty motion sick : ) I love to read good uplifting books and I really love a clean house, I don't love TO clean house I just love A clean house : ) I think laughter is the most beautiful sound in the whole world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be led to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 15. My childhood was not an ideal one but I always knew I was never alone. The gospel rang true to me from the very beginning. I took the missionary discussions for about 5 months before I was baptized at the age of 16. I was able to be married in the House of the Lord a couple years later and be sealed for time and all eternity to my best friend. I take great comfort in knowing that if I am faithful I will have all my family in the heavens hereafter even our little son who died before I got a chance to really know him. Were it not for the gentleness of a loving Heavenly Father and the saving grace of my brother and friend, Jesus Christ, I would not know the happiness, joy, the peace I feel in my heart today. I know this church contains the fullness of the gospel. I believe the young boy Joseph Smith to have been called of God at a time when the world was in turmoil over religion. I am so grateful the Lord loves us enough to speak his will through living prophets today. If I could go back and do things all over again, even the hard things, I don't think I'd change a thing!

How I live my faith

Hopefully I live my faith every day. Yes, I do have days when I am overwhelmed and wonder if I am even making a difference in the precious lives around me. Oh how wonderful it is to know that at those moments that I can cry out to my Heavenly Father and once again be assured that I am of worth in his eyes. Some gifts are priceless!!!

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

God, your Heavenly Father, has prepared a marvelous plan for your happiness. When you realize that God has a plan for you, it is easier to understand why you are on this earth. God wants all of His children to progress and become more like Him. This time on Earth provides opportunities for you to grow and progress. Coming here allows you to: Receive a physical body. Exercise agency and learn to choose between good and evil. Learn and gain experience that will help you become more like your Heavenly Father. Form family relationships that may become eternal. By following our Heavenly Father’s plan, you—like all of His children—can someday return to live with Him and with your loved ones. You can have greater peace in this life and eternal joy in the life to come. Show more Show less
