Hi I'm Carol

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am at present retired, after having been an insurance agent for about twenty years, I worked because I was a single mom with four children to support. I was married in the Temple and divorced after 12 years of marriage. I was raised in the church and married in the Temple for eternity. I married a convert who I met at BYU in Provo, Utah. We had four wonderful children, two boys and two girls.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by parents who were Mormons. I never questioned the church until I was divorced. I was so hurt and embittered about the divorce, that I got mad at God and quit praying to him. I decided to investigate the force that took my husband away from me and my four children. That's when I stepped into the world of sin and addiction to find out for myself. That's when I decided that I had been brain washed all these years to believe the Mormon faith. At least that's the excuse I used to make it alright to do bad things. After being away from having lived a strict life, I discovered lots of fun, but I soon learned that alcohol and living with no rules brought many problems into my life. Life was hard and many stumbling blocks were put in my way. Lack of money was a huge one, as well as having lost any self worth as a person. I knew deep inside that I was living wrong. Finally, after seven long hard years of pure misery, I picked up the Book of Mormon and began to read. Because of it, I was able to repent and sure enough that wonderful book lead me right back to the Savior! Because of the Book of Mormon, I began once again to live righteous principles of the gospel that I once knew. It felt so right and so wonderful to be back, knowing that I was completely forgiven and just as good as anyone else sitting next to me in church. I gained an incredible testimony of the Atonement of Christ and that he loves all men and will forgive all who humble themselves and come unto him. He literally rescued me from a life of bitterness and ruin. That's why I'm a Mormon! I know with all my heart that this church is led by Jesus Christ himself and that the Book of Mormon is on earth to help all men humble themselves and come unto him! Joseph Smith was truly a prophet of God because without him the Book of Mormon would not exist.

How I live my faith

Once I hated organized religion and going to church. Now I show up early, afraid that I might miss out on something. I lived so long without truth that now that I have it in place in my life, I'm afraid of a life without it! My bad experience has helped me to become devoted and I want to tell others how they can be rescued just like I was. I am an adult missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I love taking this gospel message to others and helping them see that life can be worth living; that there truly is happiness in everyday living, once you have embraced truth! I am privileged to be able to substitute teach the teens and the adults during Sunday School. I love that because I can help them to understand why a life of principles is better than a life without all the rules. I also visit people in their homes to give service and to help them in any way I can. This is a beautiful, spiritual gospel led by a prophet of God. I live my faith through serving members of the church as well as those who are not members throughout my neighborhood.
