Hi I'm Ben

I'm a husband, a father of 5, a lawyer, and a Cub Scout leader. I like home improvement projects and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my wife for 13 years. She is my best friend and we enjoy spending time together. We have five children, three boys and two girls. One of our goals is to have a home that has a peaceful spirit. One of the ways we do this is by doing home improvement projects. We try to include our children in these projects to teach them skills and to work together. I enjoy the outdoors. I like to garden and do yard work. I love skiing and wish it wasn't so expensive for a family of 7. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, church service and activities play a large role in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family but, like all Mormons, have experienced a personal conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Over time, I've come to learn of and appreciate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I am eternally grateful for his willingness to suffer for our sins so that I can return to my Heavenly Father. The more I work to learn of our savior, Jesus Christ, the more I want to be like him. Striving to be like Jesus Christ brings me joy. It helps me show love and respect to members of my family even when I am tired. It helps me try to be a good example to them. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me an important perspective about myself and about others. Mormons believe that every person is a child of Heavenly Father. As such, we have great potential. Because of this knowledge and the joy that it has brought to my life, I want to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as a Cub Scout leader. Mormons utilize the Cub Scout and Boy Scouts of America program as a tool to develop men with values and integrity. I am fortunate to serve as a scout leader.
