Hi I'm Alane

I am a mother of 9 children, 20 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 9 children and have worked as a Mental Health Counselor for the last 10 years. I got my Master's Degree in Psychology when my youngest child was in the second grade. I love to cook, sew, do crafty things, and go to the movies. I love being a grandmother.

Why I am a Mormon

There have been times in my life when I have questioned my testimony. Mostly these have been times of tragedy or trial. It has been during these questioning times that I have found a great love for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love the scriptures including the Old and New Testaments that testify of Christ. The Book of Mormon has been a stabilizing factor in my life. Its testimony of Jesus Christ is powerful and compliments the testimonies of the Old and New Testament prophets. All through my life, I have known that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I have taught my children the power and strength that comes from obedience and I have watched their lives become richly blessed through adhering to gospel principles through obedience. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored on the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

I began teaching 13 year old boys and girls in Sunday School classes at the tender age of 18 years old. Although I have served in many different callings throughout the years (including many leadership positions), I have loved teaching the youth in various programs the most. I love to bear my testimony and teach teenagers who are searching to discover who they are. I love to teach them that they are children of God and that He is invested in their lives. What a powerful message it is when we learn that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father. I love the gospel.
