Hi I'm Joy.

I love people, especially my family. I'm a casual runner, participating in half and full marathons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, mother to four wonderful children and grandmother to seven precious grandchildren. I attended college and became a Registered Dietitian, but chose to be a stay at home mother. I enjoy running primarily for the health benefits it provides and participate in half and full marathons. I enjoy cooking and eating good food, knitting, quilting, gardening and listening to inspiring music.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I desire to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. The longer I live, the stronger this desire has become. Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world "and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God." I was raised in a Mormon home and have always believed that the Church is Christ true church on the earth. Attending church meetings, studying the scriptures and following the counsel of the prophets has strengthened my testimony. Through the Holy Ghost, what once was a belief has become a knowledge that I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is indeed Christ's church on the earth today. I know that Jesus loves each of us in a very personal way. It is a privilege and a joy to be a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by reaching out in kindness to those around me. Each Sunday at church, I teach a class of five year old children about Jesus Christ and how following His example helps us to be happy. I also have the opportunity to help organize some of the athletic events for the young women in our local stake. My husband and I enjoy inviting friends and neighbors to our home to share in our creative food adventures.
