Hi I'm Joe

I'm a fun guy who loves his family, friends, and his religion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a great life. It's not an easy life, but it's a great one. And I believe that everyone can have a great life if they have the right perspective. I love helping people see that perspective by being happy, having fun, and genuinely caring about everyone I come in contact with. I want everyone to have happiness and to feel loved and included. I am a young single adult who comes from a big, wonderful family. Some of my hobbies are volleyball, tennis, ultimate frisbee, singing, dancing, camping, board games, card games, any kind of games, movies, adventures, pudding slip-n-slides, and having fun with friends and family. Actually, I love to do anything if I am with friends or family. I love having random moments of fun and never forgetting what it's like to be a kid!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life. My parents chose to be baptized in their teenage years and were married in the temple, starting an eternal family that I was soon born into. I am extremely grateful for the wonderful family God allowed me to be raised in. I know I will be with them after I die, if I am striving to do what is right, because of the covenants my parents made in the temple. I am a Mormon today because I choose to be. It is a choice I make every day. I've been baptized as a member of the LDS church, but being a Mormon is more than that. It means I try to do what my Heavenly Father wants me to do because I know He loves me and knows me perfectly. It means I understand that I make mistakes and I need Jesus Christ's Atonement so I can repent of those mistakes and learn from them. Being a Mormon means I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's church on the Earth today, and I can learn to become like my Heavenly Father through the things I am taught there.

How I live my faith

I am in a young single adult ward, which means our congregation that meets together on Sundays is comprised of single people in the community between the ages of 18 and 30. It is a great opportunity to learn and grow with people my age, while keeping my eye out for my future wife. We have an activity every monday to bring us closer in friendship and to have some good, clean fun (well, sometimes it gets a little messy, but thats what flour wars are all about!). We try to make sure that each member of the ward is visited at least once a month to see how they are doing and if they need help with anything. It's great to be in a church that is always working to spread the love that Christ has for all!

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Pray! Your Father in Heaven wants you to talk with him. Kneel down and have faith that He is listening. You can ask Him anything and He will lead you to the answers you seek if you are striving to do what is right. Sometimes He will even speak to you in your mind if you are ready to hear Him. Read the scriptures to learn more about Heavenly Father and to find answers to those prayers. You will feel Heavenly Father's love for you more and more in your life if you are diligent in doing those things! Show more Show less
