Hi I'm Lauren

I have lived in a small town my entire life. The church and gospel is my passion and I love being a Mormon.

About Me

In June 2011 I graduated from high school and I will be attending college soon. I am a very determined and confident individual and whenever I have a goal that I set for myself, I try my best to acheive it. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life and I have exercised my standards through out my life as well. I know what is good and bad for me and I strive to do everything that is healthy for my spirit, mind, and body. I see the mistakes made from others and I learn from them and try to not repeat them myself. I am not perfect, but I strive to be like Jesus Christ as best I can. I love my friends and family and I know that I wouldnt do much with out them. Working out, sleeping, hanging out with friends, and baking are some of my favorite things to do. I am not judgemental and I am pleasant to those who I encounter. Overall, I am a laid-back person but I know what I want and what I dont want in my life and I do all I can to impress my family, friends, and my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church to parents who were strong-going members. I have been raised by them in a strong family environment and growing up they have expressed love and care towards me at all times along with the church. Of course as I grew up I followed their example and did what they infuenced me to do but around the age of 16 I wanted to find out if those teachings were how I wanted to continue living. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through in a matter of months and realized that its teachings were true and that I wanted to continue living the way I previously had and how my parents lived. Through out my life the gospel has given me much happiness and direction. I have seen through others the happiness it gives and how it can truly change a person. I have had blessings given to me from my Heavenly Father because I have been living the way he wants and expects me to live. I am a Mormon because it brings me joy in my life. I love improving myself and the gospel motivates me to increase my understanding of Christ and His teachings and pushes me to become a better person day by day. I am Mormon because I want to help others around me. I have an understanding of life after death through the teachings of the church and it brings me comfort.

How I live my faith

I abide by the teachings of my church every day of my life. I try my best to live the way my Heavenly Father wants me to live because it brings Him happiness along with my family, friends, and myself. I attend church meetings and services weekly and I also look forward to going. During the school year, I went to early morning bible study, seminary, and learned more about the doctrines of the church. Seminary started my day off on a good note and I felt the spirit many times. I live my faith through my example as well. I try to have a bright countenance and be positive around others. People at school know that I am Mormon because I do not deny my faith. Obeying the standards of the church brings me safety and happiness. I am able to avoid addiction and many other unfortunate consequences because I chose to remain healthy and obedience to the Lords commandments and the prophets council. I live my faith by teaching Sunday School to the 6 year olds in Primary and sharing the gospel with friends when they have questions. I have a testimony of the church and of Jesus Christ, that it is all true and I am so grateful to have them in my life.
