Hi I'm Beth

I am a wife, mother, and teacher. I love Jesus Christ and I'm trying to be like Him. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a stay-at-home mom. I am happily married to a wonderful husband. We have been married for ten years. We are both teachers. I taught fourth grade for two years. My husband is in his ninth year teaching English. I enjoy jogging, playing the piano, reading, sewing, and organizing. I have three beautiful, energetic children who fill my days with joy and exhaustion. I have an auto-immune disease called Celiac Disease, so I follow a very strict gluten free diet. I have a mental illness called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I have had it my whole life, but was only diagnosed about three years ago. I recently started taking medication to help relieve some of my anxiety and have also benefited greatly at times from professional counseling. My life has improved significantly as I have learned to manage my anxiety and accept myself with my health challenges.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life. As a young girl I believed that what I was taught by my parents and leaders at church was true. As I have grown older I have had simple experiences that have confirmed to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Jesus Christ's true church restored once again on the earth, just as it was anciently. I know that God is just and merciful, and He loves all of His children. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God called to restore the church in these final days before the Savior's Second Coming. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture that teaches and testifies of Jesus Christ. We are led today by prophets and apostles who are called by God. I know what they teach is the word of God for us in our day and for our time. One of the greatest blessings of this restored gospel is that I know my husband and I will be together as husband and wife FOREVER. We have made sacred covenants with God and each other in His holy temple. These sealing covenants where made possible to us by sacred Priesthood powers restored once again upon the earth. If we keep our covenants faithfully we will be an Eternal Family.

How I live my faith

I study the scriptures and pray to Heavenly Father. I try to help my children understand that the most important things they can do are to be kind and to be obedient. My life as a stay-at-home-mom is simple, not easy, but simple. I know that there is nothing in the world that is more important than the work I do in my home.
