Hi I'm Kevin Barlow

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 56, widowed and remarried. My first wife died in 2004 of cancer, we had 5 children. I remarried in 2005 to a divorced woman who had 3 children. Our total of 8 kids range in age from 32 to 19. I have 2 grandsons, so far! I have been an Insurance agent for 26 years now and like talking to people one on one, some clients I have had for over 20 years and have heard of their children growing up through the years. Often a client will call with a non- insurance question, about raising kids, selling their home, caring for their elderly parents etc. I like talking through theses things and listening and trying to help. I serve in a single ward bishopric now and councel with these great kids about life, love and the savior. Its wonderful.

Why I am a Mormon

I like alot of kids during my youthful years strugggled with things of the world and looked for answers. My father was a mormon but not active, my mother was not a member. I was raised knowing about the church but not really knowing what I was to believe. I met my future wife who was faithful in the Mormon church and whom I had met some years earlier at age 12 when I was going to church and active, she helped turned thing around and give me direction. I had some great youth leaders who's impresssion took root and I got active. I served a mission to England and was married in the Los Angles Temple. After my wife died I met and married again in the Salt Lake Temple to another great woman. Through all lifes ups and downs its my testimony of God's love, eternal families, covenants and knowledge of the restored gosple that got me through. Thorough life's struggles I have found perspective to life-God has a purpose and a plan for me (and everyone) there will be challenges and trial for sure but he is loving and mericiful and his plan is perfect and a plan of salvation for all.

How I live my faith

I serve in the singles ward bishopric- ages 18-30 young single adults. They are energetic and full of life. I think they keep me younger! We do alot of service projects in places and for people who are in need of help. Its great to see so many young people want to help others.
