Hi I'm Erin

I am a mom and a wife. I am a property manager. I love soccer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married 5 years ago and now have a beautiful 13 month-old daughter. I work 40-60 hours each week as a property manager at a large apartment community. It has its challenges but I love working with people . In addition to being a mom and working full-time, I am actively involve in church helping out with the girls in the youth program. My husband is not a Mormon, but supports me by coming to church each week. We love soccer and actively support our local team, but our true passion is for the Liverpool Football Club in England. Two years ago we had the opportunity to travel to England and watch some of the top teams compete. We hope to go back some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon, but as a teenager I rebelled and became inactive in the church. The next 5 years were challenging and I felt a void in my life. My love for Christ and God remained strong and eventually I found my way back to church. It was hard to come back at first because my life-style had been so different for so long, but as I worked with church leaders and accepted their challenge to get my life in order, blessings began to pour into my life. My career began moving forward, the relationships with my family began to heal, and I began to feel my Heavenly Father's love for me stronger than ever. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love that we we can receive personal revelation by praying to our Heavenly Father and by experimenting with the teachings of His gospel. I love that the church makes sense on every basic level; live healthy, be honest, be kind, serve others, nuture family relationships, and so on. Anyone that lives that life-style is sure to be happier and ultimately that is what our Heavenly Father wants for us. I know without a doubt that God loves us and that this is Christ's church. I know that He leads it today and that he wants all His children to have the opportunity to receive the blessings of His gospel and return to live with our Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he saw the Father and the Son and that everyone can have personal revelation by following James' council, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

How I live my faith

Several months ago I was given the assignment to be a counselor over the teenage girl's youth program. I was intimidated at first because I struggled so much as a teenager, but it has been a great experience so far. My commitment to these girls includes activities every Tuesday night and regular meetings with the leaders and the girls. I am privileged to teach on occasion and am involved in various other activities the girls have throughout the week. I also participate in the visiting teaching program, which assigns every adult woman 2-3 other women to visit each month. During these visits we get to know each other better and it provides a built-in support system for each woman. Although, it can be hard to reach out to someone you don't know, it is amazing on how it opens up an opportunity for friendship and love for others.
