Hi I'm John Erickson

I'm a father, husband, grandfather, cyclist, and electrical engineer. I'm also a descendant of Mormon pioneers.

About Me

To my grandsons, I'm an iPhone with games. To my daughter I'm a homework cop and Internet administrator To my wife, I'm a sounding board and the new floor installer. To my work, I'm a Voice-over-IP systems integrator and manager. To my Church, I'm a willing volunteer and leader. To my Stake President, I'm a left-hand man.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the center of Utah, in a town which was and probably still is 95% Mormon. I participated in a cursory way until about age 16, when I made a serious study and inquiry about the Church I'd inherited. Feelings and impressions to personal to detail convinced me that the Church was indeed the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been actively engaged ever since.

How I live my faith

I have served in nearly every Church position in a local congregation and in a few positions in the wider area. While these have all been opportunities for growth and service; the most influential have been the opportunities to visit each month with several members of the local congregation. From these visits I have made lifelong friends, learned volumes, and have at times actually made a difference in someone's life.
