Hi I'm Lauren

I'm a Graphic Design student, a wannabe mountain biker, I want to visit all of the National Parks, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 20 year old college student trying to figure out what the next steps in my life need to be. I love anything and everything that has to do with design...which could really be anything and everything! I'm thrilled that I chose to study Graphic Design. I love creating new things and I love seeing what other people create. Playing the piano is everything to me. I play when I am happy, when I am nervous, when I am frustrated, when I am sad, and just because I love it. Playing it helps me relieve my stress and be more at peace. I'm grateful for the opportunities I had to learn to play this instrument growing up. I love spending time with my family and close friends. I couldn't have asked for better people in my life. I love to hike, bike, and camp. I love nature. We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful world our Heavenly Father has created just for us. I've always wanted to work for a wilderness therapy program helping troubled youth and I hope to do this in the near future. I love the feeling I get while helping someone overcome something and completely loving and serving them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints...in other words, I was born and raised as a Mormon! I love how happy being a member of this gospel has made me. I know for a fact that God and His son, Jesus Christ, love me and every single person who has lived, is living, and has yet to live on this earth. This gospel has taught me about my true potential and where I have come from. In my teenage years, I struggled with being happy about who I was. I didn't like myself, I always wanted to be like someone else. Since then, I have turned closer to the Lord and realized that I really AM a child of God. He loves me for who I am and will always love me. I feel His everlasting love everyday and being a member of this church has made understand where I came from and that there is a Father in Heaven, and His son, my Savior and Redeemer, stretching their arms out to me each day.

How I live my faith

I strive to be a person whom I myself would look up to and who I would want my future children to look up to. I strive to keep the commandments of God and walk in His footsteps. I try my best to set a good example to my friends and family and those around me. When I follow Christ's teachings and commandments I am truly joyful. When I attend church each Sunday, my faith grows and my testimony is strengthened. I feel rejuvenated and ready to take on the week as a disciple of Christ. As a member of the Activities Committee in my young single adult ward, I get to help plan events for the YSA's to attend. Planning and attending these activities is such a blessing. I get to be around people who are so loving, accepting, and fun.
