Hi I'm Karen

I'm a Mormon. My ancestors have been members of the Mormon Church for many generations. It works for me.

About Me

I'm the oldest of 4 children. I married young and then returned to Arizona State University with my younger brother after a water skiing accident left him a quadriplegic. I was a public school teacher for many years, but now I'm retired. Now I have time to catch up on some of the things I have always wanted to do. I have a wonderful garden that supplements our fresh vegetables. I spend time learning about my ancestors. I am writing a book about my life for my posterity. I played volleyball and softball when I was younger and I still go camping. I love to play a good card game of Rook or Pinochle.

Why I am a Mormon

It seems that my family have always been Mormons. Now, I choose to be a "Latter-day Saint" because I have a testimony that this is the true church of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have studied the gospel throughout my lifetime and have come to love its teachings. I know my Savior lives and I want to return to live with my Heavenly Father. I want the joys that are promised by my Heavenly Father if I am faithful to his son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Two days a week I spend time in the Mesa Temple. One day a week I help others research family records in the Mesa Regional Family History Center.
