Hi I'm Elise

I'm a wife, daughter and sister. I'm an optimist. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated in elementary education and am now looking for a job in education. I love "attempting" to do crafty things like scrapbooking, sewing and painting. I also love reading and playing the piano. Spending time with my husband, being outside hiking, and exploring new places are things I love doing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe our Savior, Jesus Christ lives. I know that we have a Father in Heaven who loves and wants us to return and live with Him someday. I know that we have a living Prophet on the earth today. These were truths and knowledge I acquired at a young age. I assume their is a time during everyone's life that they ponder what they want out of life, why they are here and where they want to go. When I was twelve I began to think upon these very questions. I didn't know where to start to find my answer. I simply began reading The Book of Mormon. I prayed every night to know whether or not it was true. I thought my answer would come quickly and in some miraculous way. It didn't. Months went by with nothing. But one night I was reading, and all of a sudden I knew. I cannot explain it any better then that. I knew that I was a daughter of God. I knew that my Heavenly Father knew and loved ME. I knew that what I was reading was inspired words from God. And because I knew that The Book of Mormon was scripture, I knew that Joseph Smith was indeed a Prophet of God called to restore the Church of Jesus Christ upon the earth again. And because I knew that - I knew that the doctrine of the gospel, and all of the questions that I had pondered had an answer within the gospel plan.

How I live my faith

I absolutely love attending my Sunday meetings. I have had the wonderful opportunity of teaching the three and four year old children. They are such pure and wonderful examples to me. I love being able to share with them my love of the gospel of Jesus Christ. My husband and I also spend Monday evenings singing hymns, reading the scriptures and making some family goals on how we can improve in our lives.
