Hi I'm Rebecca

I'm a wife and mother. I like to garden, be outside and read children's books. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother. I am a former elementary school teacher and still enjoy volunteering in elementary school classrooms. I love helping children learn. I enjoy being outside--I like to hike, bike, and work in the yard and garden. Bookstores and music stores are my weakness! I love reading children's books and playing the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon because it teaches me how to live so I can return to my Father in Heaven. The teachings of the Church help me and my family know how to be safe in a world of decaying morals. The Church teaches me, that as a woman, I have infinate worth and value. I walk side-by-side with my huband as we work together to raise and provide for our family. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real. I know I can pray to Heavenly Father anytime and anywhere and that He hears and answers my prayers. I know that true happiness comes from living the commandments of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying and reading the scriptures and the words of our prophet and apostles. I teach the youth in our congregation--the young women ages 12-18. I teach lessons to them on Sunday and hold weekly activites for them, too. Some of the things I teach the young women are to: have faith in Jesus Chirst; be virteous and honest and kind; get as much education as possible; work hard and serve others; be grateful; obey the Sabbath day; and have integrity. I teach them that marriage and family is part of God's plan. I teach the youth to seek for good things to participate in and ecourage them to stand up for what if right, even if they stand alone. I teach them that true freedom comes by living God's commandments. I teach them the steps of repentance when they make mistakes. I teach them that God loves them.
