Hi I'm Sandra

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Central America, I'm an entreprenuer, married with three wonderful teenager children.

About Me

I'm a hispanic convert of the church, a mother of the most three wonderful teen children, a wife, an entreprenuer who manages my businesses mostly from home so I can spend more time close to my family, I'm very organized, in my free time I love to decorate my home and have fun. I volunteer in my community. I read business related books and magazines. My hobbies are geneology, visit art museums, travel, eat well, attend my children music performing concerts, soccer games, swim and track meets!

Why I am a Mormon

Because the gospel of Jesus Christ helps me be a better person. It teaches me how to be a better mother a wife and citizen of my community. It keeps me right on track and encourages me everyday to do my best. I know that by keeping his commanandments he will bless me with what I need to progress in this life and be happy; that is a true promise, I have seen it in my life. I have felt the tender mercies of the Lord many times, he knows me by who I am and I can find in him the strenght, peace and comfort that I need to keep on going. Knowing that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me and understand my challenges and trials gives me a better understanding of my purpose in this life and how he lovingly expects me to be one day back into his presence and live forever with him is the most wonderful promise I have heard in my life, to live forever as a family!. I am blessed to have a beautiful family of my own, I love my husband and my children very much and I want to be with them forever!

How I live my faith

I truly believe that prayer is one of the most special gifts we have, I can approach my Heavenly Father anytime, anywhere and receive his love and counsel. I have the privilege of serving at his temple and that is something very important to me because I know that it is the house of the Lord on the earth and I can gain knowledge and be remainded of important covenants and blessings for me. I had the blessing of serving others through the gospel of Jesus Christ in many callings; working with children as a primary president for many years and Relief Society president as well ( the women organization of the church) and I have seen the wonderful influence that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings in his children, how people change for better and become happier and succesful. I can feel the Savior's love for me in every ordinance that I participate in the church, it brings me hope and peace in this difficult times. I know the book of Mormon it's a true and powerful book. I have read it many times and and I can feel the spirit that brings in to my life and the life of my family. I am deeply grateful with my Heavenly Father for the unique blessing that I have to be a member of his church on this earth. I know that we can develop a personal relationship with our Savior and experience the blessings of the attonement in our life.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Sandra
We live in difficult times were catastrophies happen all around the world, I had personally witness the welfare program in action in Central America fifteen years ago right after the huracan Mitch hitted Honduras, the church welfare program sent clothes, food, medicines, first aid, hospital equipment, rescue equipment to aid all the people in need. Everyone received the help, people were deeply grateful and felt loved by the mercy of other saints around the world who so generously paid for all the supplies that were delivered to them. Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Sandra
We follow Jesus teachings from the Bible and Book of Mormon about the baptism. We believe that it has to be done the same way he did it in the Jordan River. Through the baptism we make a special covenant with the Lord to obey and follow him as his disciples I love that promise. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Sandra
To me is my own personal witness that I have about a principle of the gospel of JesusChrist, It's a wonderful feeling inside of me that makes me really believe that what I know it is true. It gives me assurance and peace of mind. I feel grateful to have it and blessed for the opportunity to share it with everyone Show more Show less
