Hi I'm Spencer

I love working with my hands. If I cant fix it I will try and figure out how. Yes I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am fairly strait forward. I am task oriented and focus on accomplishing goals. I love reading but I am not much of one to sit behind a desk. In fact I avoid it at all costs. So I like to get out, use my hands and see progress in the work I do. I feel accomplished because of what I have done in my life and strive to give the opportunities I have had to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to church and usually fell asleep during it just like I did school. Maby it was when I was 12 and I received a calling from my Bishop but about that time something changed. I don't know what the change was or when I knew the church was true I just did. Then I prayed about it and I still knew it was true. At that point I became more involved in it at a new level of commitment even though I still fell asleep sometimes. I had the oportunity to serve in many more callings, I studied from the scriptures, and of coarse participated in all of the activities. These activities continued to strengthen my testimony of the church and Gospel of our savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Currently I try and serve as many people as I can around me and strive to encourage those around me to live closer to God. The message we share is from Christ. Its changed my life and I don't know where I would be with out it. Every day I do my best to follow him and repent when I come short which is often. Each day I believe that we should strive to be a little more humble and to learn from our mistakes. I believe that this is what james speaks of when he refers to pure religion (James 1:27). Okay with all the seriousness aside I also believe in having fun! Simply God wants us to find joy, be happy and live peacefully with our fellow men.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Emergcency preparedness is huge! Being self reliant is huge! I would be a stress case if I were not prepared for an Emergencey. I would be even more stressed if I didnt have a plan to become self reliant. My parents dont want me in there house forever! God has given us this counsel so that we can be happy and enjoy life, and in life emergencies happen so why not plan for them. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Its simple you can not know spiritual truths with out prayer. Then we must be obedieant to the comandments of God. Give God time to teach you as you study the scripturs, move forward with faith and you will recive your ancwers. Show more Show less
