Hi I'm Lorri

I'm a mother of six who loves to make music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a piano teacher and choir director. I love creating beautiful music and working with others who love music. More importantly, I love creating a happy home where my children and husband know they are loved. I enjoy reading, cooking and any kind of word games.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon, but I continue to be a Mormon because it makes me happy. The teachings of the gospel, the focus on family and following the Savior's example, feel right to me. I feel peace and happiness in the middle of loud and confusing world. I can't point to one specific, life-altering moment when I suddenly knew the gospel was true; instead, a lifetime of living its principles has built a strong testimony in me. I know of the love God has for me as an individual. He knows me and loves me in spite of my weaknesses, and that love inspires me to follow Him.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is not just a Sunday thing for me. It influences how I live every day. I read the scriptures and pray daily, seeking guidance and direction from a wise and loving Heavenly Father. I rely on that inspiration to help me parent my teenagers. I am more patient and loving when I take time to think about the Savior each day. I serve in the women's organization of our church, helping them to understand their important role as daughters of God. My faith prompts me to serve others, whether in my home or volunteering in the schools and community. It results in courtesy and honesty in dealing with others. My faith has shaped the woman I have become.
