Hi I'm Danielle

I'm a small town Idaho girl. I'm married to a doctor. I'm a mom. I'm always finding projects to keep me busy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love learning new things and that is what I liked the most about going to BYU. I got to take classes like guitar, drawing, childhood development, marriage enhancement, interior design, and piano. Now, as a wife and a mom to four kids- I am learning new things daily. I love reading, probably because it allows me to keep learning about the world around me and, in a way, experience life through someone else's viewpoint. I especially love reading to my children. I have a bit of an obsession with picture books. I hope to write one someday. Another thing I love is being outside. I like camping. I like taking my kids to the park or on bike rides. I like feeling the sun on my face, the wind in my hair, and the feel of grass on my feet. I love being able to enjoy the beauties of nature that Heavenly Father created.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love learning about why I am here on this Earth. I love knowing what will happen when my life here ends. I love learning about Jesus Christ and about the church he set up when he was living. I love knowing that same church that Christ established so many years ago, is the same one that I belong to now. I am a Mormon because I believe that Heavenly Father speaks to us through Prophets (just like he did in the Biblical times) and I love that I can learn His will through our Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I also love learning about Joseph Smith, who was a simple boy and yet with the Lord's help, he was able to restore all the truths of the Gospel and translate the Book of Mormon. I am a Mormon because I love reading the Book of Mormon and learning the things it contains. I know that when I read it, I feel the Spirit telling me that the teachings it contains are from Heavenly Father and that they are true. I am a Mormon because being a Mormon makes me happy. I have trials and hard times, just like everyone else, but the good news contained in the Gospel gets me through those trying times and helps me to see the good during the bad times. I am happy that I have a loving Heavenly Father who hears my prayers, a husband who treats me like a princess, and sweet children who are trying to be like Jesus.

How I live my faith

I go to Church every Sunday and love it! I occasionally get to teach lessons on Sunday to the young women that are ages 12-18. I also get to spend time with them on Wednesday nights as we learn and do fun and good things like camping, making freezer meals to take to new mothers in the area, swimming, self-dense, biking, and serving others. I love being around these girls and seeing how they are standing up for what they know is right. They are beautiful, virtuous, smart, funny, kind, and they are great examples to me of how I can be a follower of Christ and His teachings.
