Hi I'm Kevin

Hi I grew up in Tempe, Arizona and am a graduate fo Marcos De Niza and Arizona State University. I love to golf and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 5 wonderful children and have been married for 23 years to a beautiful and loving wife. I love to read, golf, camp and go to the beach even though I don't like sand. I love sports, especially wrestling, football and swimming. I love to watch my boy wrestle and girls swim and often volunteer for their team sports. I love to cook and keep my wife and kids well fed. I love to eat sushi and when I return to work plan on learning how to make and prepare sushi for my family. I love to help other people and teach my children to work through kind acts of service.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because I was born in the church, even though I was, but because I have a testimony of Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon and that we have a prophet on the Earth to guide us and direct us today. I know this because I have prayed to know if these things were true and received a confirmation in my heart that they are. I am also a Mormon because if the chruch's emphasis on family. I feel truly blessed by the programs and leaders of the church who help me raise my children to be responsible members of society and keep them safe from the perils of the world. The blessings and benefits from being a member are a great comfort to me and my family, often times my friends ask me why do I do the things I do. I tell them even if I wasn't sure, which I am, that the church is true I don't think there is a better way to live your life or raise your family than the way the LDS church exemplifies and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a good father and husband. I try to teach my children good principles of hard work, being smart and respecting others even when they are different. I am a member of the High Council in my Stake and work with the youth. I have organized a youth pioneer trek and am responsible for a service project we started last year where we helped with a special olympics golf tournament. What a great feeling you receive when you are able to help and be around individuals who seem to be less fortunate than you are. They teach us unconditional love and a zest for life. I have a special needs child in my home as well and what a great blessing his is to have in my life. I love to work with the youth in our church and challening them to do hard things. I have watched kids pull handcarts for many miles up and down hills singing and smiling as they go. I have watched them struggle and cry as they overcame obstacle of large steep hills where women and girls struggled on their own to get the handcart up the hill, and then seen the joy as the boys and men came to help them in their struggles to reach to top of the mountain. I have been so blessed seing these youth of the church willing participate in these activities growing physically and spiritually and feeling the tender mercies of their heavanly father. I love working with the youth especially my children and would not want to have my kids raised any other way.
