Hi I'm Brad

I am a husband and father of four wonderful kids. I work in commercial finance, like sports, and enjoy good food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a rural community in Idaho. Both of my parents were high school teachers and believe it or not my dad gave me one of the lowest grades I ever got in health class! I completed one year of college with the intent to become an engineer, but after my second semester of calculus, chemistry, and physics, I started to rethink my career choice. I served a two year mission for the church in Germany and quickly learned to speak the language and love the people there. After completing my mission I returned to college and started pursing a business degree. Then I met my future wife. She is a beautiful and amazing person that has kept me going for over fifteen years now. We have four children that constantly keep us on our toes, but I really wouldn't want it any other way. I currently work for a commercial finance company as a credit analyst. I enjoy all kinds of sports and love living in Denver because we have so many professional teams here. My current hobbies include golf, basketball, video games, making home movies, and just having fun. I took my first surf lesson last summer in Hawaii! I also really enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, which most of the time includes a good meal.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon and have always tried to follow the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I really enjoy the interactions and friendships that come from being a member of the church. The church also provides numerous opportunities to serve in the community. The standards of the Church help me make personal decisions every day. I am grateful for my knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ. He is my example in all things. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to return to him some day. He listens to our prayers and answers them with what is best for us at that time. I love to read the scriptures and receive strength from them daily.

How I live my faith

My family and I attend church every Sunday. We love to participate in these meetings so that our knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ can grow. We follow the church's program of holding Family Night on Monday evenings. This is time where we can put other things aside so that we can spend time together. We also pray together and study the scriptures. I am current working with the young men (ages 12 through 18) in our congregation. Our group participates in the Boy Scouts of America program and plans other faith building activities. It is one of the best groups in the Mormon Church because we get to learn about the gospel while we are having fun! This last summer we went on several campouts, two boating trips, various hikes, and even spent some time at the shooting range working on merit badges. Several of my boys are currently working on receiving their Eagle Scout award and that is truly an exciting thing for me and them. I personally know that they will remember these experiences for the rest of their lives.
