Hi I'm Annalee

I'm a Mormon. I'm a wife, mother of five and grandmother of 1. I love my family.

About Me

I love being a wife and mother. There are times when it's kinda hard to deal with everyone's needs, but the blessings and the joy I get from being with my family are so worth any troubles we may have. My husband and I own our own plumbing company and work together to keep it going. Our kids have worked for us off and on. We have 5 kids, 3 girls and 2 boys ranging in age from 26 to 10 and an amazing grandson who is growing like crazy. I love music and hearing the hymns of the church and the music from our primary is the best! I love to read and probably do it more than I should, like when I should be cleaning my house! It's so easy to escape into the chapters of a book and learn how others deal with their problems. I have worked outside the home as a waitress, customer service, and in different retail jobs. I love being able to work from home and be here when my kids get home from school It also gives me a chance to go on the field trips with them at school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church into an amazing family. I love my mom and dad! I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters that I love with all my heart. And so many nieces and nephews that I stopped counting. Because I was raised in the church, I always felt that I shouldn't just follow along just because everyone else was doing it. I knew that I felt better when I lived the commandments of the Lord and did the things that the church taught, but I wanted to know for myself why I was a member of this church and if I should continue to be. So when I was just 14 and studying in seminary about the Book of Mormon, I felt the desire to know if it was truly the word of God and that it had indeed been given to Joseph Smith as I had been taught. I prayed with all my heart to know if this was true. I prayed and tried to go to sleep, not expecting to have any type of answer so soon, but just couldn't sleep, I prayed again and a few hours later, again. As I continued through the night, the most amazing feeling of truth warmed my soul and I knew that Heavenly Father had answered my prayers and confirmed that what I wanted to know was true, really was. I have been active in the church ever since. How can you know something is true and not act on it?

How I live my faith

I love working with the youth of our church and helping them find the truth for themselves. It's so amazing to see them learn and grow, just as I did so many years ago. I have spent the past 25 years learning and growing, changing from working with the primary, ages 3-11 and then the youth ages 12-18 and also with the women of the church, the Relief Society. I play the piano and love to play the music of the primary, and hear the kids sing, it strengthens my testimony of the church that Heavenly Father loves all of us, but has a special place in his heart for children. My favorite calling of all time is working with the girls at camp. We go away for a few days and get the chance to live with out the interruptions of life, like cell phones, email and any media. It gives me a chance to feel the spirit and know that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me. It also gives me a specific point to remember when times are bad. I just have to remember how I felt at camp and realize that I am loved.
