Hi I'm Leeland

I enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports and playing games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in Idaho with great parents and two older brothers. I have a wonderful wife, two sons and two daughters. I love my family. We live in Indiana.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I have studied and lived the doctrines of the church and found out for myself, through prayer, that they are true. In John 7:17 Jesus said "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know whether it is true. I have received an answer that it is true. Therefore, its teachings of Jesus Christ are true, Joseph Smith was a true prophet and the doctrines of the church are true. This knowledge and living the teachings of the church have brought great happiness to my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I try to follow His example in my interactions with other people. Everyone is a son or daughter of God with great potential. I try to serve others in and out of the church as best I can.

Are Mormons Christians?

Even a cursory review of the church and its teachings will make it clear to anyone that Mormons are indeed Christians. The name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. A passage in the Book of Mormon says "And we talk of Christ, w rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ ..." He is the center of our faith and the head of our Church. Show more Show less
