Hi I'm Jeff

I work in healthcare and love to help people feel better. I enjoy serving others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 3 children (all boys) and the most wonderful wife in the world. They are the greatest joy in my life. I live to serve them. There are many things in life that I love to do such as golf, helping things grow in the garden, and other physical activities. There is nothing that I enjoy more than spending time with my family. I feel great comfort in knowing that I can be with them for eternity. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

At first, when I was younger, I attended church because it was always expected of me. I never disliked going to church but I was never truly devoted to finding all the answers to my questions. It wasn't until before I went on my mission that I was truly converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I always felt the teachings were good and I tried to follow them the best I could. I had made a decision to go on a mission but never really knew why I was going. I knew that if I was going, I would need to be first converted myself. I had never really read the Book of Mormon. I decided to start there. The more I read, the more I felt the desire to read and learn more. By the time I had reached the end. I knew that it was true. I had prayed and found out for myself. I still didn't feel nearly as prepared for my mission as I shoud have been, but I knew something I didn't know before. It's all true. Over the course of my mission, my testimony grew stronger. I grew very close to my fellow missionaries whom I served with. I grew closer to my family. I grew closer to my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Chris. I love them and know that they love me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Church of Jesus Christ. The fullness of the gospel has been restored to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. Jesus Christ is our Savior and died for us that we may be like Him and our Father in Heaven. I know this is true and I am grateful for it every day of my life.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily practice. To me, I feel that living my faith makes me who I am. I try my best to read my scriptures, pray often, go to church, etc. I am asked on a daily basis why I don't do certain things. I have the opportunity to explain that I just don't do those things because of my faith. I find great joy in talking to people about what I believe in. Living my faith does not just include my home or work place. It includes wherever I am at all times and in all things. Many people can attest that I am not perfect but I try the best I can. I think everyone has their struggles with daily life but what matters is that we try to live up to our potential. Every week I have the opportunity to attend church. I have the priviledge to serve as a clerk. Because of this, I feel that I have been able to get to know members of my congregation better. One of the greatest things, is that they all have the same beliefs I do. In fact, that's what's great about the chruch in general. No matter where I go in the world, I will be with those who have the same beliefs I do. I will be learning the same things and I will feel the same spirit. Living my faith should show in my actions and my deeds. This is my hope that people will know that I love my Savior by the way I live my life.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes, we believe the Bible to be the word of God. It contains many revelations and teachings by inspired and holy men of God. We also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. They work hand in hand to bring us closer to Christ and help us to live by his teachings. Both stand as witnesses of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
