Hi I'm Elaina

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married to a wonderful man a stay at home mom with 4 kids. My family is my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a mormon but I didn't really understand it much until I was about 16 years old and my life was really confusing. Didn't know what I wanted to do or where to turn or if this religion i was born into is true and if the scriptures are true. Grabbed my scriptures said a prayer asking to help me understand where I need to be and if these scriptures and this religion is true. After i prayed I stayed on my knees with my arms still folded and my eyes still shut. Waiting for a few minutes to invite the spirit and listen. Then I opened up the scriptures to some random page and started reading where my eyes landed on the page. Reading for few minutes and next thing I know I had a thought come into my head. Open the Hymnbook to pg 26 Joseph Smith First Prayer. I knew my prayers were answered and that song has been my favorite ever since. Ever since that experience I knew where I needed to be and I've never been confused since. As long as I stay with my Heavenly Father's and do the best I can to follow Him I know every thing will be alright.

How I live my faith

First of all I'm married a mother with 3 kids and they are my world! I have two callings in my ward I'm a co-organist and I'm a youth teacher. These are all voluntary. Didn't know how to play the organ when they called me to be an organist but I knew how to play the piano. Had to work hard to smooth out my playing and learn the organ. I'm still learning after 2 yrs but I'm doing lots better. We serve others by taking food to ladies that had a baby to help out with dinner, we go Visiting Teaching (visit the ladies on our list that we are given and see how they are doing and give them a message each month) If anyone is moving in or out of the ward we call and arrange the men to go and help move furniture and boxes. Some of the women go to, to help with packing stuff up but it's mostly all boxed up already. During the summer the Ladies put together a play date for the women and kids to get together and get to know each other and visit.
