Hi I'm Kim

I was born and raised in Arizona. A family man. Married one time going on 34 years. 5 kids, 12 grandkids and, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband of 33 years, a father of 5 and a grandfather of 12 going on 13. The greatest joys in my life have come from family. I have worked in Project/Program Management since 1987 and in Production Management for 8 years before that with an emphasis on Scheduling. In my career I have worked in 37 countries and with all of the places I've been there is no place I would rather live than right here in the good ole USA. I am very conservative in my political views. I believe in progress but I don't think that is the same as progressiveness. I stand behind the constitution of the United States. I am not wealthy financially and I worry constantly about my retirement, which seems to be coming faster than I can prepare for it. I also worry about the state of my country as I continue to see it going downhill though I still believe there is hope if we can get back to the basics of the constitution that the Founding Fathers intendedfor us. I enjoy sports both as a spectator and as a player, primarily Baseball, Football and Volleyball and I love the outdoors, camping, hiking, fishing, etc. I I also enjoy Movies and TV - Action, Comedy, Romance, Suspense. Most of all I love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon indicates a belief that there is a reason for life. I can't imagine that this life is accidental. I can't believe that there is nothing after. As a Mormon I have learned that my life here on earth is only a small part of God's plan for my eternal progression. I know that eternal plan will afford me the possibility of having the knowledge I have gained in this life and the family I love so much with me in the world to come. Being a Mormon has given me perspective. Understanding God's plan for me allows me to live my life with purpose. God's plan is for all of us. The more we understand about our individual roles in that plan, the easier it will be to pattern our lives to achieve the greatest possible rewards both here and after this life.

How I live my faith

Like most people I work for a living. I have a full time job but like most people in the church I donate quite a bit of my off-work time to the church. My position in the church requires me to train and mentor leadership in various areas of church policy and procedure. I also am afforded the opportunity to speak to the various congregations in our area on a regular basis on gospel principles and doctrine. My wife and I donate some of our off hours to the church's food distribution system shich provides for the less fortunate. as most members of the church I have been assigned other member families to watch over. My responsibility to them is to give them someone to call when they need the help, someone that will help coordinate the efforts of the church in responnse to their needs. I try to live my life by the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I try to look for opportunities to provide service to others. I give of my time, as I can, to forward the mission of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to bring souls unto Christ and to care for those in need. I don't have a lot more than I need for myself and my family but I do have time to offer. I think that is what Christ would have me do.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

The Mormon lifestyle is no different, in many ways, than any one else. We strive for happiness and joy. We find that, with home and family and friends. We work for the pay on which we depend for our sustanance and for our comforts. We give what we can without creating too much of a hardship. We understand that our life and our posessions are only on loan to us from God, so we give back to Him when we can by helping His children when they are in need. We strive to share the happiness we have found with others by introducing them to those things that bring us joy; Family, Friends and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
