Hi I'm Anni

I am artistic. I am a dreamer. I am a college student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying to be a teacher, and I am so excited to be a teacher one day :) I love to read! During the summer I read novel after novel (often reading the same one twice), but my favorite book will always be the Book of Mormon. I play the piano, and I just love music so much! I don't know what I would do without music. I mostly love to sing really loud! (Probably too loud, but that's just how I sing.) I am an actress as well (at least in high school I was). I have been in about five plays, three of which were musicals. Although I often stress over homework, I just love my life, and I know that it is exactly how it is supposed to be right now. I look foreward to having a family of my own one day; I can't wait to be a wife and mother. I believe that this world is a beautiful place. I especially love the moon and how beautiful it is and how bright it is in the night. I believe that it is a beacon of light for all mankind to give us hope that even in the darkest night, we can shine bright. Most of all, I am a happy person. Although I get discouraged sometimes, I believe that there is a bright side to every situation. My personal motto is: Be Happy! :D

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true gospel. I may have been born to Mormon parents, but I stay a Mormon because I truly believe. I don't know what I would do without this gospel. I really don't. It makes me who I am, and I don't know who I would be today without it. It gives me hope and comfort to know that Somebody loves me, and understands, and is guiding me back to Him to live with Him forever. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me so much, and I know that because He never gives up on me. Everything I experience in life (literally everything) is for the purpose of helping me become the person that I am supposed to be. I know that He loves me because He is willing to let me go through trials in order to become better and stronger. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ lives. I know that He understands everything that I go through, and that He will never give up on me. I know that He loves ALL of his children, and that He loves YOU too. I know that as long as I try to live the gospel, I don't need to worry, because, God will take care of everything else. A modern-day prophet of the Lord once said, "Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He will deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, raise up friends, and pour out peace" (The Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson [1998], 361). I know that this is true. I have experienced it. When I make an effort to pray often, and read my scriptures, and strive to do God's will, life doesn't seem so bad. In fact, life is wonderful! Nothing is to hard for the Lord to deal with, so as long as you try your hardest to do what is right, He will take care of the rest. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

In church, I get to teach the 9 year-old's in Sunday School and so far it is my most favorite calling yet!!! I LOVE MY KIDS!!! They are perfect, goofy, happy, and they put up with little old me who still is learning how to be a teacher. Planning lessons is a little difficult sometimes, but somehow I know I end up learning more when I am planning my lesson than my kids do when I teach it. And they teach me as well, those little smartypants! I know that Heavenly Father is watching over me, because this calling is exactly what I needed at this crazy decision-making period of my life. Primary is the perfect place to strengthen your foundation of the simple and most important truths of the Gospel. When not it church, I try to live my faith by being an example to others and making choices that God would have me choose. I study the scriptures as often as I can, and try to apply what I learn into my life. I am not perfect at doing these things. But I try, and that is all God asks of anyone. I know that living the gospel is the most fulfilling thing in life that anyone can experience, and I know this by experience.
