Hi I'm Lisa

I am a foster mom that just adopted a beautiful little son. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up the middle of five kids and married a wonderful man who is also the middle of five kids. During my college years I did rock climbing and repelling at least once a week. I loved everything about it. Now the only time I get to do that stuff is when I'm teaching it during the summer at girls camp. I enjoy working with my husband in our chiropractic office. I am blessed because I can bring my young son to work with me. We do foster care and we recently were able to adopt him. Becoming a mom is definitely one of the highlights of my life. It has been awesome watching my husband of 18 years with our son. It has brought a new dimension into our relationship that has made us stronger and more focused.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I can vividly remember as a young child truly knowing that I am a child of God. I have always known the church was true; I could feel it. As I grew older and continued my learning I was able to test the things I was taught and started building my own testimony of the truth, not just believe what my parents and teachers told me. I can't imagine my life without the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is not just a part of my life but the center of it. It is about love, family, service, and all things good! I am a stronger person having that as my foundation. I have answers for all the important things in life. The church teaches me about my Savior Jesus Christ and how his sacrifice for me allows me to live again with him and my Heavenly Father after this life, it also makes it possible to be with my family forever. All these things give me incredible hope and support for the future.

How I live my faith

I have been able to serve in many areas of church. Currently I am working with the deaf group. I happened to take ASL during college and it has come to good use over the years. I interpret a lot of the hymns which I really enjoy. Working with deaf people has been a wonderful experience and they have taught me so much.
