Hi I'm Logan

I grew up in Arizona. I served a mission in Santiago, Chile. I'm a Husband, a Father, and a Law Student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father. I met my wife in college and we moved to Arizona and put down roots. We are the proud parents of two wonderful little girls who are full of life and energy and love. We have a great time together playing hide and go seek, reading books and running through the sprinklers together. With my dad and brothers and their families, we love to ride motorcycles at the sand dunes. We love to explore the great outdoors here in Arizona, and at times when we are able, in California and Colorado as well. We have great time working and playing together. Currently I'm in Law School, which means my days are filled with studying and homework. So far, I have been able to make it home for dinner everyday. I have made it a priority to be with my family at dinner time and talk about how our days have gone. We relax together on the weekends and on Sundays with family and friends nearby. We love to barbecue and play games together, or just relax converse about interesting topics.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is true. Truth inherently will bless your life when you follow it. The equation "2+2=4" is truth. If you follow that truth it blesses you, no matter where you are: at home, school, work, or at play. No matter how hard you may try to avoid it, or try to say that something else is the result, two plus two will always equal four. For me, the same applies to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I was born and raised in this gospel, but that is not the reason why I continue to do so. By learning the restored teachings of the Savior, praying about them, and applying them to my life, I came to know for myself that these teachings are true. Just as true as two plus two equals four may be to anyone who wants to learn it and use it. I see the result of using the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ everyday in my life by the smiles on the faces of those around me and by the way that I feel inside. I lay down at night knowing who my Father in Heaven is, what He expects of me, and I sleep well because I know that my desires and actions are in line with those expectations. Though very imperfect, I know that I can repent of errors that I make and change so that I can be forgiven and improve myself each day. By doing this each day I know that after all that I can do, His grace will be sufficient for me to return to His presence and live with Him and with my family for eternity. That is an equation that keeps me moving and growing each day.

How I live my faith

Weekly I teach scout meetings for a group of rambunctious 11-year-old scouts. I teach them how to live the Scout Oath and Law, and help them learn fun things like how to build a fire, how to administer first aid, and how to fold a flag. We play games, do fun activities, and an occasional overnight campout in the wilderness. It is my way of giving back to the next generation and helping them grow up to be wonderful sons of their Heavenly Father. On Sundays I also help to teach a Sunday School class of the same age group. We learn of Christ, we talk of Christ, and help each other learn how we can be more like Christ. I home teach two other families in our community, and stop by their homes at a minimum of once a month. We talk about their families, and make sure that they are doing well, that their needs are met, and try to share uplifting gospel messages with one another. I try to live my faith every day by the way I interact with others and the ways in which I try to serve those around me. My hope is that in some way I can be a light to others and that through my actions they can see the light of the Savior.
