Hi I'm Laura

I am a Mother. I love my family and enjoy design. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have recently become a mother and it is my new passion. I now know where the greatest joy and happiness on this earth comes from and that is children. I graduated college in interior design and really enjoy designing and being creative. I am a bit of a night owl because that is when my mind comes alive and I become inspired. I also love the sport of tennis; I played in school but have taken a leave of absence from playing tennis recreationally to have children (it is hard to run around the court with a large pregnant belly). Tennis has a special place in my heart because I met my husband when he taught me tennis lessons and we now share the sport as a fun hobby and common interest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Jesus Christ's, my Savior's, true church and gospel on the earth today. I love my Savior and believe in him therefore I exercise faith in him by being a Mormon and living its principles. These principles are faith in Jesus, repentance, baptism, and the gift of the Spirit to lead and guide us in this life. By having faith in my Savior, being baptized, repenting daily and following the Spirit as it guides me to my correct path in this life, I am bringing real happiness and peace into my life and becoming a better person, more like my Savior. I often think that I won the Lottery of Life, because I was shown the light and given a plan of happiness to follow in this challenging world we live in, it brings me so much peace and joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church once a week to partake of the sacrament, remember my savior, and renew my promises I made when I was baptized. I love church; it is such a reinvigorating experience that starts my week off just right. I love singing the hymns, they are so uplifting. I love gathering with the women in the church’s women’s organization. I gain so much strength from the women in hearing and sharing our life’s trials and successes. I live my faith by serving in this organization. I serve by planning activities for the women when were not at church. So, for example we will gather together on a Tuesday night, eat yummy treats, socialize, and sew quilts for local needy children’s organizations. It is always fun.
