Hi I'm Scott

I am from Gilbert Arizona born and raised. My wife and I have 3 kids and I am a small business owner.

About Me

I am from Arizona, my wife and I were both born and raised here in Gilbert a suburb of Phoenix. I came from a family of 9 kids and grew up on a small ranch competitively roping and riding horses. I am married with 3 kids, we have 3 sweet little boys. I enjoy playing sports , golf, basketball, football and anything else outdoors. I play in recreational leagues with friends and family. I am a business owner and work with different youth groups.

Why I am a Mormon

When I think of everything good I have in my life it is very easy for me to trace that back to my decision to be apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My family grew up in this church and I have been exposed to it my whole life, having said that it took until I was 17 years old before I really started to understand what it meant to do what we do. I was getting prepared to graduate high school and prepare to go on a 2 year church mission, that is when I started to realize that I had never taken the time to really ponder what all this means to me although I never dough-ted anything I did because the feelings I had confirmed to me it was good. I took an opportunity to read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover before I served a mission in Tacoma Washington, and to this day 16 years later I can say, that was the most important decision I have ever made. It changed my life forever! I feel very grateful that I have a knowledge that our Heavenly Father knows who I am and has truly given me everything good I have in my life. I will have the opportunity to have and be with my family forever this means everything to me. The blessings I have received from my membership in this church have been the greatest blessings in my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently a Scout Master in my church. This consists of spending time with boys ages 12-14 helping them develop personal goals, religious activity, civic responsibilities, and an ability to contribute to society at a high level, as well as achieving their eagle scout award. It has been a privilege to work with our youth and see how strong and capable each one of them are. When they are given the opportunity to serve and use all of their talents in the right way they have abilities well beyond their years. The greatest blessing for me is to see the growth and strength of others that comes from applying the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
