Hi I'm Sean Rieman

I like to draw, play sports, hunt, mountain bike, camp, fish, and work hard. I love being a husband and father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Sean,I was born in Hawaii; I have lived in California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Arizona. The longest I have lived at one residence is just over 4 years at my current home. I am the oldest of 5 children who have had to move alot due to divorce, remarriage, serving a mission, then just trying to find myself. I learned through this, one finds one's identity inside, with God; it does not matter what the address is. I am an Eagle Scout, I enjoyed Scouting growing up; and now I am in a leadership possition helping our Scout Units in my area is very rewarding. I get to see the young men succeed in their goals, and enjoy a functioning Scouting program that they are running. I like to be out in the woods. Camping is more fun to me than living in a town. I feel I am in my element chopping wood, cooking over a camp fire, and looking into the milky way sleeping under the stars. I love to hunt, and fish. Archery is challenging, up close, and rewarding. I like to build long bows and arrows; shooting an arrow out of a handmade bow and watching it hit the target is great. I love to play sports. I was only on one high school basketball team my senior year due to moving so much, and sometimes personal choices. I like to play basketball, football, softball, golf, volleyball, canoe, snorkel, shoot guns, archery, fly fish, mountain bike, camp and hike. My greatest happiness has been the last 12 years of marriage to my sweet wife, and raising four great children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by a Godfearing mother, who wanted us to have a personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ, and know we are children of God. I have learned during Sunday school classes, seminary classes, and personal study that we can all learn for ourselves the doctrine that is taught to help us become moral righteous people. I found out for myself at sixteen years old while praying to know if the Book of Mormon was truely another testament of Jesus Christ I felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that it was, and that I have a Savior that loves and cares for me on a very personal level. Jesus Christ suffered and died for all mankind, and in doing so paid for my sins and shoretcomings, that is very personal. If I just accept his grace and commandments I will be blessed in my life. And I feel that everyone needs to learn that personal responsibility of a relationship with the Savior, it is life changing.

How I live my faith

I have been serving as a counsellor in the Stake Young Men's Presidency for the Maricopa Arizona Stake for a few years now. We help plan fun activities through Scouting, helping to teach skills, and morals and service. I work as a Unit Commissioner in the Boy Scouts of America for our "Varsity Scout" age young men in our area. We help the young men become good men as they learn to serve God, and Country, and learn to have faith in the Savior Jesus Christ. I have dressed as George Washington to teach a fireside about our founding fathers and the Constitution, I have helped plan out and run week long camps, helped plan out and run golf tournaments. I have oppertunities to speak at church meetings often. I go to as many community meetings as I can, and I am trying to learn more of how to better serve my community. I have given a prayer at the opening of a city council meeting, and have tried to speak up at different venues in the community to support morals, values, and the Constitution of our United States.
