Hi I'm Wendy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother who previously worked as an attorney on the West Coast before leaving the practice of law to raise my family. I love my family, and motherhood has brought me great joy. I have a passion for learning, and before going to law school, I earned a college degree in English. I enjoy reading, writing, photography, exercise, and hiking. I also love to travel and appreciate the perspective that traveling to various parts of the world has given me. I love being outdoors and enjoying the beauty of nature, and I especially love being in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon but had to learn for myself through earnest prayer and scripture study, and by applying the principles that I had been taught, that the doctrines taught by our church are true. I know that we have a Father in Heaven who knows us and hears our prayers. I know that His son, Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. When I try to follow Christ's teachings and example, I am happier and have greater peace and joy in my life. I have repeatedly seen the joy and good that comes when people apply His teachings to their lives.

How I live my faith

My faith is a daily commitment that affects everything I do. I pray and study the scriptures daily, and I attend church every Sunday. Doing these things helps me keep a balanced perspective on life and gives me clarity, focus, and the strength to handle challenges. My church has given me many opportunities to serve others, and I have spent many years teaching and planning activities with children and teenagers, from young children to Cub Scouts to teenage girls. I have also had the opportunity to teach women of all ages, from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life. While we may come from different backgrounds, we are united in our faith. Serving others brings me joy and has blessed my life tremendously.
