Hi I'm Gaylene

I'm a Christian - yeah, Mormon's are Christians too!

About Me

I love life. I love being a wife and mother of three wonderful children. I love to read, quilt and serve. I love spending time with friends and family. I love my parents and my eleven brothers and sisters. I love living in the beautiful country of the United States of America. I love BYU, where I graduated with a BS in Business Management. I love tennis, especially when I can beat my husband in a game! I believe that God wants me to be happy, and that he wants me to help others be happy too!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for a multitude of reasons. The first being that I was raised from birth by a mother and father who shared their faith and love with me. I'm a Mormon because I love the social opportunities the church offers me to serve others and to develop life long friends. I'm a Mormon because of the wonderful gospel teachings that help me raise my children to be caring, giving, virtuous young men and young women. But most of all, I'm a Mormon because the spirit of God has testified to me that this is his church, this is where he wants me to be, and this is where I can come closest to knowing and loving my Father in Heaven and my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a good wife, a good mom, a good daughter, a good friend, a good neighbor, and a good human being. I try to follow the example of my Savior by loving all my fellow human beings. I strive each day to become more like him, and I'm glad that when I fall short, I can repent. More specifically, I serve as the Young Women President in my ward, of 32 young women, ages 12-18. Along with several other wonderful leaders, we help care for and teach these Young Women, and help bring them closer to Christ. I also serve as Volunteer Coordinator in my daughter's Elementary School, where I am able to support the marvelous teachers who give so much to teach my children.
