Hi I'm Shawn

I'm a husband, I'm a father, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of six children. I'll always be grateful for my parents who love me and taught me how to work hard and how to be a good person. My dad was a police officer and my mom stayed home and raised me and my five siblings. I met my beautiful wife at Arizona State University and she has blessed my life ever since. We have two wonderful children who are 9 and 7. I work as a software engineer and consider myself lucky to do something I enjoy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The church has always been a large part of my life. It has filled my life with good things. My family has been and is a blessing to me and has always been a huge support for me. Sometimes it take me a while to learn something, but I am confident that my Father in Heaven is infinitely patient and loving. He has nudged me in the right direction all of my life. He has surrounded me with good influences and people who help me make the right choices. Over time and through some answers to prayers I have come to learn that the principles taught in the Gospel of Jesus Christ are true. I have come to learn that God has and does speak to prophets on the earth today. I have come to learn that God loves and is aware of his children on the earth. I know that I can pray to my Heavenly Father and that he will hear my prayers.

How I live my faith

I believe one of life's most important responsibilities is to our family. I live my faith by trying to be the best father and husband that I can be. I also try to be a positive influence in the neighborhood and community in which I live.
