Hi I'm Ryan Hatch

I was raised a mormon. I'm a doctor in a holistic health clinic and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a doctor, husband, and father of 2 children. I enjoy playing basketball and take every opportunity to play as much as possible. I love to get away for the weekend up to the mountains and spend time with my wife and 2 boys. I run my own clinic which I began in the town where my wife and I first met. My life is a bit like Everybody Loves Raymond as I moved into the house next to my sister in law in the same neighborhood as my mother. Did I also mention my mother and father in law also live in the next neigborhood over from us. I guess you could say my life can be a little more complicated, and great, than Raymond. I was raised in the church but I am the only active of 4 siblings. I served an outstanding mission is Sao Paulo Brazil for 2 years and loved every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the church my parents we divorced when I was eight. My father got custody of my brother and my sister and I stayed with my mother. After the divorce my parents remarried and my sister and I moved away. My mother held true to the gospel and my father slowly became inactive and then a little antigonistic towards the church. This lead myself and my siblings to question our beliefs and values that were instilled in us since birth. Like most teenagers I had some rebellious and stupid years which lead me to quite a bit of misery. After failing at much of what I had endovered to do I was compelled to a new state of humility at the age of twenty. I was not doing well at school and my college basketball career was going nowhere fast. I began to ponder what the purpose of life is and what I had been taught by my mother and church leaders. After a particularly difficult week I knelt down to pray, which i had not done in years. I spent most of that night on my knees pouring my heart out to the creator I desparetly wanted to know. I awoke the next morning completely renewed with a fresh and optimistic outlook on life. It was clear to me that it was time to clean up my act and follow the lord. I moved back in with my mother and began to take classes near her house and met with my bishop. I deeply understood the lord wanted me to lose my life for his sake so that I could truely find it. I left all that I knew and had to serve a mission in Sao Paulo Brazil which was the most formative and amazing time of my life. That experience so greatly changed and shaped my life and I am so grateful the lord allowed me to serve him. I know the lord lives and loves us and I am product of his love and mercy.

How I live my faith

I help organize Sunday school at church and watch over the library. I also help to coordinate basketball events at the church. I am a hometeacher to a family in our ward that we visit once per month. I also donate my time to the 9 news health fair by doing free spinal screenings and nutrional counseling. I perform physicals for local high school athletes and donate the money back to the school raised from those physicals to help pay for equipment and other needs the programs have.
