Hi I'm Kristin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and a stay at home mom to 4 young children. I love to read, blog, and cook. I work very part time as a realtor. I love my life and I love my mormon faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it makes sense to me. Living the gospel and it's principles brings me happiness and freedom. We have a living prophet, President Monson, who receives modern revelation from God. Revelations that pertain to me and my family today. That is very important to me. We live in a confusing and spiritually tumultuous time. God hasn't left us alone to figure things out for ourselves, he has given us a prophet to help lead us and guide us. God wants us to return home to him and has given us so many tools to help us. Tools like prophets, the bible, the Book of Mormon, commandments, families and of course His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus gave us his life as an example for how to live. All these things and more are what make me believe that this is God's true church. I love my family and want to be with them forever. I am comforted in the knowledge that I can live with them not just here but in the next life and that if we follow the Savior, His example and the prophet, we can be with our families forever. These are all components to this gospel that ultimately gives me direction and peace. I know who I am and I know where I am going.

How I live my faith

I serve in the cub scout program at church as a wolf den leader. This is the 8-9 year old boys. I just started and am excited to serve in this capacity. I'm sure I'll be teaching as well as learning a lot of new things in this calling. I also go visiting teaching once a month. Visiting teaching is where you visit with other women in your ward that you have been assigned to. It's a great opportunity to be spiritually uplifted with a message and to make new friends and enjoy one another's company. There are so many talented people and it is wonderful to be able to get to know them and benefit from their gifts and talents. How do I live my faith day to day? There is a favorite mormon children's song that sums it up pretty well. It goes like this... "I'm trying to be like Jesus; I'm following in his ways. I'm tying to love as he did, in all that I do and say. At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice, but I try to listen as the still small voice whispers, Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught." I love that song.
