Hi I'm Catherine (Trina) Green

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Grandmother, Mother, Wife, and Sister. I love my family. Each member is unique. My greatest goal in life is to have a home that is like a heaven on earth. This is very challenging, but I know that it is what my Heavenlly Father wants me to continue trying to do. I always thought that once my children got older it would get easier but it is the opposite. As you get older there are more challenges and more family members. And, less control. My husband and I just took the "Strengthening Family" course offered by the Ward and we loved it!!!! Such great information. We should have taken it earlier but still worth every minute of our time. I work and take care of my Mother. I love to walk and play tennis. I love clean. : )

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I moved to Utah when I was 15. I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school. I always loved learning about God and Jesus. I was determined to convince all the Mormons in Utah that they were wrong and belonged to a false church. As I was fighting Mormons, I was learning many truths and one day it all made sense. The Holy Ghost bore witness to me at 17 that the church I was fighting was the True Church--True in that we have the fullness of the gospel. I was overwhelmed by the spirit and could not deny what I had felt. My friend set up the missionary lessons. I knew everything they told me was true. I was baptized and confirmed on my 18 birthday. My life has never had more meaning.

How I live my faith

I work with the children in our church. When I walk in the room filled with 70 (plus) children I feel the Holy Spirit in that room. I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of these children. They are more precious than anything in the world. I also get to be a Visiting Teacher. I love the knowledge that our Heavenly Father wants us to know and take care of each other. That he has a plan. He gives us Sisters to look out for and visit. That is amazing to me to know that he loves us so much that he makes sure everyone in the church has a Visiting Teacher and a Home Teacher. I take this responsibility to heart. I love those I Visit Teach! They have families they love just like me and want to do the best. Sometimes I get to help pick up their children from school or take them to a doctor. I have even had the privilege to watch their children while they work. It is such an honor to serve these wonderful women. I have a great testimony of the women who have been and are my Visiting Teachers. They have been so dedicated. I consider each one of them a great friend. I know I can call on them any time and they will help me with any need. They fill my spiritual well constantly. I am so grateful to be a member of Jesus' Church. I am grateful for callings that help me become a better person. I am grateful that I constantly learn. I love the members. They are so dedicated and you can feel their love for others.
