Hi I'm Kendra

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of six children. I had my first two girls 12 months apart. 3 years later I had two boys born 14 months apart. 3 years later I had actual twins! Two girls. I love my family, they are my greatest happiness. We homeschool our children and enjoy many adventures together. I love to read, watch movies, cook, bake, play sports (especially basketball and soccer), watch sports with my husband, play with my kids, be outdoors, snow ski, water ski, and be with extended family and friends. I have traveled to Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, and Grenada. I have lived in beautiful places like Lake Tahoe and Hawaii. I would love to travel to Europe and to New Zealand and Australia.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a witness that this gospel is true. I was blessed to be born into a family with inspiring pioneer heritage. Although my family has known of the gospel for generations, I recognized the need to have my own testimony. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I know I have a loving Father in Heaven. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior. I feel the strength and confirmation of the Holy Ghost when I read the scriptures and when I pray. I am blessed and guided in my daily life - I know God knows me. I have never been without the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I don't know how I would live without it.

How I live my faith

My husband and I try to read the scriptures and pray together every night. Every morning my children and I read the Book of Mormon together. Reading the scriptures and praying often help us in our daily life. Doing these things guide in our choices, give us strength to choose what is right and good, and brings the Holy Ghost into our home and our relationships. In church, I am a visiting teacher. I am assigned to visit and look after specific sisters - I get to know them, become a friend to them, and making great efforts to see that their temporal and spiritual needs are being met. I have also been asked to serve as a coordinator. I help the Relief Society president keep things organized. We make sure that each sister has someone looking after her and that she has the opportunity to look after other sisters as well. It is a blessing to serve others and to have others serve you. We keep track of each sister and gather reports to make sure everyone is receiving the care and love they need. I have served in different capacities, and supported my husband in his services as well. Spending our time serving others is a way that we show our love and dedication to the gospel. We love our Father in Heaven and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Looking after and serving other children of God is how we show our love for Him. When we are busy serving, we don't have time to feel bad for ourselves. We don't feel a need to be critical, we feel love the way the Lord feels love. It teaches us a great deal.
