Hi I'm Mollie

I love to learn and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my high school sweetheart - last summer we celebrated our 21st anniversary. We bought the house next door to my parents, so I've lived on the same street for nearly my whole life. We have 5 children, a son in law, and a grandbaby on the way. I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting through online study. I hope this endeavor will show my children how important it is to follow the prophet and gain an education. I love: *trees and have more than 20 different types in our yard *to read and read 31,500 pages last year (2011) *to cook, although I am not inventive...just good at following a recipe *naps

Why I am a Mormon

As our children have grown up in a world filled with temptations, evil influences, and peer pressure to be less than our Father would have us be, I have been so grateful for the direction and counsel from our modern-day prophets. We are so blessed to have a living prophet who guides, advises, and directs us in our troubled world. He truly is on the watch-tower, with a broader view and a direct link to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

Visiting teaching, an assignment to visit a few woman in our congregation each month, is so important to me. I have grown to know and love women who are in different stages of life than mine. Life may not otherwise throw us together because of the disparity between our ages but I have been blessed through their wisdom and experience and conversely been one to depart some hard earned wisdom to others with less experience. It is comforting to know that one day I will miss the toothpaste in my hairbrush or to assure a new mom that potty training does in fact eventually pass. I feel the love of our Savior for all people. As a person, as a child of God, and as a fellow human being I can see the hand of our Creator-what a choice opportunity it is to occasionally be those hands. The knowledge of where we come from and who we truly are helps me be a little kinder, a little more patient, and a little more understanding.
