Hi I'm DeLee

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Arizona's White Mountains on a ranch. I work with senior citizens

About Me

I loved ranch life when I was growing up. I love music and majored in Home Economics. I was an at home mom until the youngest of my six children started school. I enjoy most arts and crafts from painting to cooking and every hobby in between. I know how to quilt, crochet, embroider, and decorate wedding cakes. I think the thing I enjoy most is the opportunity the womens organization in the church gives me to share my talents with others. Watching the joy and excitement as they learn new skills. Skills that help to cut costs at home in a struggling economy. And put a lot of fun things to do with others right at your fingertips. I have always been shy and found it hard to make friends, now I have lots of rich friendships. I love to listen to the life stories of the seniors that I work with. And when I feel down they help me to remember how blessed we are to live in this time period. My family and church have brought so much joy into my life. I am even getting to know my ancestors through geneology, which is very addicting, once you get started it is like a good book hard to put down. Their lives are so full of faith and such wonderful stories of strength.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because here is where I find the tools to deal with the problems we face today. The wisdom willing shared. The compassion both given and received. Peace of mind. I have grown to know my savior, I understand that he knows me and loves me so much that he took the punishment for my mistakes. That he understands better than anyone else ever could, he felt every pain, every sorrow, every disappointment, every physical shortcoming, every loss before me and he shows the way to overcome it all. If I have trust in him enough to do the best I can, then turn the rest over to him. It is amazing the calm and peace. He truely does provide. Every day.

How I live my faith

I teach the women of ward homemaking skills, how to make the dollar stretch farther. I have 3 families that I visit and keep tabs on with another lady. I want to make sure that if they have a need, it is filled whether I and my partner do it or I put them in touch with someone who can help. Things as simple as taking in a meal, taking them shopping, giving them a ride home, calling just to see how they are today. There are so many ways to serve and I truley want to be Jesus hands, to do the things I know he would do if he were here. I sing in the choir, I really like the special feeling when we sing.
