Hi I'm Brian

I'm in law school. I love cookies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have an amazing and beautiful wife. We are blessed with a son who is the best-looking boy you've ever seen. I'm in law school. I love the outdoors. I like snowboarding, rock climbing, hiking, and any activity with water. I am a social person. I try to look for the best in everyone. I like making friends and getting to know people. I have four siblings. Two older sisters, an older brother, and a younger sister. My parents are my heroes. My mom passed away in April 2010.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that we are all children of God. I know He has a plan for us. He wants us to be happy. He has provided a way for us to have joy. I have been blessed many times to feel God's love for me. I believe that if we ask God, He will answer our prayers. When my mom died I had a hard time coming to grips with the reality of it. I could not believe it. My mom was still young. It was a very sad and emotional time for me and my family. As my family gathered together in preparation for the funeral, we prayed and read the scriptures together. We studied what Jesus taught us about life and its meaning. We studied about the plan that God has for us. I have heard that in such trying and difficult times many people become angry with God. For my family, what could have been a very bitter and angry experience was instead replaced with a very peaceful and loving experience. I know that death is not the end. Jesus died so that we might live. I know that Jesus died for us. I know that He overcame death. I know that I will be able to see my mom again. I still miss her everyday, and I'm sad that she is not here. I'm sad that she never got to see my son. I'm sad that my son will never know his grandma in this life. But, I know families are forever, and through Jesus Christ all of us can find happiness.

How I live my faith

Religion is more than just a meeting we go to once a week; it's a way of life. As a Christian, I believe that we must try to live the way that Jesus wants us to live. God wants all of us to be happy. I believe that when we help and serve other people, we are providing a service to God. I try to see others the way that God sees them. God knows each of us, and we are all important to Him. As a follower of Jesus, I try to live my life so that by knowing me others will want to know Jesus. Up until a few months ago, I was a primary teacher. On Sundays I taught a class for the 8-11 year-olds. It was a good opportunity for me to review the teachings of Jesus in a way that children could understand. Sometimes it felt like a lot of extra work, as I was busy attending law school, to make sure I had enough time to prepare a lesson. But, it was worth it. I know I was blessed in my life because I taught the children, and hopefully I was able to be an instrument for the Lord to bless the children also. Now, I get to work closely with the missionaries in the area that I live. Missionaries leave their homes and go to all parts of the world to help people come closer to God and be happy. I get to help the missionaries and see the joy that comes into a person's life as they learn more about God and the plan He has for them.
