Hi I'm Teri

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, the oldest of eight children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am wife, a mom and a grandmother - the oldest of eight children, I grew up in Arizona. I am, by profession, a Realtor and love working with the public. I love to read, to knit, to crochet, west coast swing and playing golf with my husband. I began taking lessons in golf only a couple of years ago, but enjoy being outdoors. I met my husband and fell in love on the dance floor. I have a strong testimony and know that the gospel is true, that Jesus is the Christ, and that Heavenly Father loves me as well as all of his other children. I love Him and his son, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

In 1988, I divorced my husband of 20+ years. In 1991, after only three months of dating, I married the love of my life. He took the missionary lesson and joined the church a few weeks before we were married. We were sealed for eternity in the Los Angeles temple. He tells me regularly how fortunate he is to have found me AND the church. He marvels every Sunday after leaving church how different, how warm, how special this church is compared to the ones he tried out before becoming a Mormon. Though I was "inactive" for about 14 years, I NEVER doubted that this church was absolutely true, and eventually returned with an even stronger testimony.

How I live my faith

Each week, I attend my meetings - not just sporadically, but every week unless I'm ill. We have acquired many friends and enjoy the social and spiritual experiences from our church attendance. I presently prepare the monthly newsletter for the women's organization. In the past I have taught early morning religion classes for 14-18 year old youth. I've also taught a sunday school class for adults, and teenagers, as well as myriad other opportunities for service. I always enjoy serving and working with other like-minded adults and youth. Since my husband and I are dancers, we have been invited on several occasions to teach the youth how to dance.
