Hi I'm Roger Stones

I'm a husband and father, business manager, scout leader, endurance racing addict and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband of over 16 years and father of two awesome kids. Admittedly obsessed with sports and competition, I've been active in Ironman and endurance mountain bike racing for the past few years. Truth is I discover a lot about myself, my limits/weaknesses and reliance on God when I push myself through difficult things. I believe with God's help all things are possible, both physical and spiritual.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not Mormon through inherited beliefs, but by choice. I choose every day to strengthen my relationship with God and live the teachings of Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon for me means living a Christlike life, not just being Christian. Gospel living gives me the daily peace and confidence I need to succeed in my home, work and recreational responsibilities. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I've received a witness of its truthfulness as I've researched and prayed about its teachings, including the authenticity of the Book of Mormon and prophets and apostles who God has called in our day.

How I live my faith

In my life I find myself constantly faced with decisions involving my integrity. I live my faith by being fair and honest in my dealings with others. In whatever activity I might be doing I frequently commune with God to offer thanks for the many blessings I receive and to help be the person to bless someone else' life. I try to make my prayers meaningful and less repetitive. My faith inspires me to lift up the lives of the boy scout troop members with which I have responsibility. While I am inherently a morning person, I use that blessing to complete the things I 'selfishly' like to do early in the morning to maximize time with family.
