Hi I'm Andrea

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom to three young children and the wife to a wonderful man who I am lucky enough to be able to spend all of eternity with. As a family we do a lot of camping, hiking, biking, canoeing and we love to play games. Reading is a passion of mine and I love crafting and creating for my home, family, and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a long line of very religious, Christian people. I have always known there is a God, that He has scripture here on earth, and that the choices I make go beyond myself. My mom is Mormon. My dad is Baptist. Both of them have a long heritage of each going back generations. When people hear that they wonder if my parents are still married. It's a valid question and I’m sure it hasn't been easy, but yes they are! I didn't join the LDS church until two months before I turned 18. Once I hit high school my group of friends were almost all LDS and to make a very long story short, I had good influences, felt the Holy Ghost very strongly on several occasions, and, after permission from my dad, made the decision to be baptized. I wasn't suddenly perfect and my life wasn't suddenly easy, but I never looked back. In a very poignant moment in my life, with my family around me, I came to know with absolute certainty that Joseph Smith did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in a grove of trees. Due to my faith in this single moment in history, I firmly believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ exists on the earth today. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know there is a prophet on the earth today and that we receive counsel from the Lord through him. My family has been sealed together in the temple and my love for them and bond with them will continue past death as long as we remain faithful and obedient. I am very grateful for a Heavenly Father who loves me and knows my needs. He allowed me this chance to learn, grow, and return to live with him and the best part of all is that I get to have my family by my side as I do it. I will not be perfect--but I will not vacillate nor wander, I will be the daughter of God I know my Heavenly Father wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I am a primary teacher. I currently teach the children that are five, turning six and LOVE it. Since I was married eight years ago I have spent the majority of my time serving in primary. I love working with the children and I grow in faith and testimony as I study the lessons and learn from my students. I am also a Visiting Teacher and my testimony of the importance of visiting with and getting to know other women in the ward is growing all the time.
