Hi I'm Carol

I am a stay at home mom. I love the outdoors and being active. I love to cook and bake. I love to learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an outdoor enthusiast! I love to walk, bike, hike, camp, and generally love being in nature. I am a mother of five. I love to learn new things and learn about people and places far from me.

Why I am a Mormon

Yes, I grew up in the LDS church, BUT, I have gone through a conversion nonetheless. I have read the Bible, the Book of Mormon, prayed, and tried to be obedient to the commandments. Through this process, I have "grown" a fervent testimony of my own of the truthfulness of His gospel. And I believe it has been restored on the earth and is known as "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". That's it right there. I have had confirmed to me over and over again the truthfulness til it has become a part of me. Actually, it's not even a PART of me, it IS me! Some may say that I am surrendering my freedom by restricting myself to the beliefs and teachings of the church. But I say, how can one be surrendering something that is freely given? This is my choice, and I choose it because of the freedoms it BRINGS. Some may say I've been brainwashed; if so, then I will continue to live happily "brainwashed" for the rest of my life! I know there is nothing else in this life that can even come close to bringing me such joy and peace.

How I live my faith

I don't just LIVE my faith, I AM my faith. Everything I do or say in this life is laced with Christ's example to us. One of the greatest joys in my life is serving others. I guess you could say that makes me kind of selfish? But I think I'm in good company, for that is what Jesus did while he walked the earth. I have had the privelege to work with the youth, the children, the scouts, and the sisters in our wards. All of the opportunities have helped me to grow and learn in many ways. We also enjoy serving in humanitarian service as a family. Some of the sweetest times I've had is when serving as a companion to another sister in watching over and taking care of several sisters we have stewardship over.
