Hi I'm Travis

I am a husband, father, lawyer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest enjoyment is spending time with my wife and children. We enjoy traveling, going to movies and spending time at home. I also enjoy flyfishing, scuba diving and golf.

Why I am a Mormon

My family were members of the church long before I was born. However, I have had many happy and difficult experiences that solidified my testimony in Jesus Christ and the restoration of His gospel to the world. I understand and know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He came to Earth to take upon the sins of the world so that I, and all people, can be redeemed and return to live with our Heavenly Father again. I have many friends in other churches, both Christian and other faiths, and I appreciate and love the devotion to their faith. The difference with the Mormon Church, I believe, is the fullness of the gospel that was restored in our day. I have a testimony of the blessings available to us through the restored Priesthood and temples.

How I live my faith

I believe the Gospel was given to make us happy. The Gospel gives men and women true freedom and peace. I work hard and have fun, and try to teach my kids how to be happy. I am an adult leader for teenage boys, ages 16-18. I teach a lesson one Sunday a month, and spend time with the youth on Wednesday evenings. I also visit two families in our congregation once a month to share a message about the Gospel and to see if they need anything.
