Hi I'm Jamie

I am a police officer. I have an amazing family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with wonderful parents and three awesome sisters. I have loved playing sports and competing since I was a little boy. All growing up I played football, baseball and I wrestled. I have always strived to push my abilities to the limit and have always tried to be the best at whatever I am doing. I have a beautiful little family. I have a 2 1/2 year old little boy and a beautiful 15 month old little girl. My amazing wife and I have been married for 4 years and i love her more and more every day. I love to spend every moment I can with my wife and kids. They truly bring me happiness. I am on the SWAT team and love the adrenalin rush I get from my job. I can’t see myself doing anything else. I think of my job as more play than work most of the time.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and have always had a strong testimony of the gospel. I would go to other churches with friends but I never got the same feeling from their church as I did with mine. I had to make a tough decision when I was about to graduate high school. I had to decide to go on a mission or stay home and play football in college. I was out camping on weekend and did a lot of thinking and praying. I prayed to know if going on a mission was the thing I needed to do at that time in my life. I could not fight the feeling that I felt that a mission was where I needed to be. I was called to serve in the Independence Missouri Mission. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my mission and the blessings I received from it. I have received so many blessings from being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The gospel gives me direction in my life. I have been blessed with an amazing wife to be my eternal companion. I know that my two beautiful kids are sealed to me and my wife forever. I know that I am happy because I live the gospel principals. I know that one day I will be able to see my Savior and my Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I strive everyday to live the gospel. Luckily I have my wife that helps me as well. As a police officer I see many of the problems in the world today. I am so grateful for the gospel principals that teach me to avoid the things that are harmful to my spirit and my body. The gospel gives me the peace of mind to know that I will be blessed for doing what is right. I also love knowing that if I do something wrong, I can turn to Christ and repent of my sins. I know that he did die for me and he is always there with open arms whenever I need him to be. I have the opportunity to teach the youth in my church. I am so grateful for that. I hope that they can learn from my experiences and that I can express the love I have for the gospel to them.
